Ranigast S-O-S is indicated for the relief of symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux such as heartburn and epigastric pain.
Ranigast S-O-S helps to balance the acidity of gastric juice, preventing the burning sensation, epigastric pain and indigestion.
Ranigast S-O-S is effective regardless of the root cause of the problem. In addition, it can be used as an adjunct in patients with gastritis.
Ranigast S-O-S contains a combination of several substances acting synergistically in the stomach environment. The special composition of the preparation containing: sodium alginate, alginic acid and bicarbonate enables its quick action.
Alginates are polysaccharides obtained from certain species of marine algae. They are present in the form of fibers which, in reaction with the acidic environment of the stomach, quickly gelify. The resulting gel forms a protective layer on the gastric mucosa.
The combination of bicarbonate and carbonate neutralizes the acidity of gastric juice. In addition, the carbon dioxide bubbles that arise from the reaction with hydrochloric acid become trapped in the alginate gel. It transforms into a foam that floats on the surface of the gastric juice and creates a barrier that reduces the number of reflux episodes.
HOW TO USE
Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: it is recommended to take 2 tablets after the main meal, if necessary with water.
Children (6-12 years): it is recommended to take 1 tablet after the main meal, washing it down with water if necessary.
These doses are effective in reducing gastric acidity and preventing gastroesophageal reflux. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Side effects
The composition of the medical device Ranigast S-O-S is safe, fully biocompatible and well tolerated, which was confirmed in the preparation studies.
At doses required to achieve therapeutic effect, the only reported adverse reactions were constipation and transient diarrhea.

Interactions with dietary supplements and medications
There are no known interactions of the Ranigast S-O-S medical device with dietary supplements. However, as a general rule, all dietary supplements, including vitamins, nutrients, herbal and homeopathic preparations, should be taken at least two hours before or after taking the Ranigast S-O-S medical device.
Drug interactions
Due to the physicochemical properties of Ranigast S-O-S, it may delay or limit the absorption of other concurrently administered substances and drugs. Therefore, before starting the use of a product such as Ranigast S-O-S, a doctor should be consulted, especially if the patient is taking contraceptive drugs.
Taking Ranigast S-O-S may not constitute a contraindication to the concomitant use of medicinal products containing active substances such as omeprazole, cimetidine or cisapride; in such cases, however, consult your doctor.

Ranigast S-O-S should be stored in a dry place, away from direct sources of heat or light.
