Xylorin - Nasal Spray, 18 ml

Xylorin is used for the symptomatic treatment of rhinitis and sinusitis in children over 6 years of age and adults. Xylorin is in the form of a nasal spray with xylometazoline, which reduces swelling and congestion of the mucosa and, as a result, opens up the nose. The medicinal product can be used not only in the case of a runny nose during colds, but also in the case of allergic rhinitis or in the treatment of sinusitis. It takes 1-2 minutes to work and lasts for 10 to 12 hours.

COMPOSITION
Active substance: xylometazoline hydrochloride.

1 ml of aerosol contains 550 µg of xylometazoline hydrochloride.

Excipients: sodium acetate anhydrous, acetic acid, sodium chloride, benzalkonium chloride, purified water.

100 g of aerosol contains 10 g of benzalkonium chloride.

DOSAGE
Children 6 to 12 years of age: 1 to 2 sprays in each nostril every 10 to 12 hours for 3 to 5 days.
Adults and children over 12 years of age: 1 or 2 sprays into each nostril every 10 to 12 hours for 3 to 7 days.

The product is administered intranasally.
The product should be used by one person to minimize the risk of spreading infection.

ACTION
Xylorin constricts the small blood vessels in the nose, reducing the swelling and congestion in the nose. This leads to its unblocking, facilitates nasal breathing and reduces the amount of residual secretion. Xylorin starts to work within 2 minutes of spraying and lasts for 10 to 12 hours.

INDICATIONS
Xylorin is intended for use to reduce nasal congestion associated with rhinitis and sinusitis. The indication for the use of the aerosol is also supportive treatment of otitis media resulting from a cold.
