PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Octenisept spray is a drug used in the prevention and treatment of wounds, skin and mucous membranes. When applied directly to the affected area, it gives a feeling of relief in case of burning, it has a disinfecting effect, facilitates and speeds up healing.
The preparation is an antiseptic containing octenidine (100 g of the liquid contains: 0.10 g of octenidine dihydrochloride, 2.0 g of phenoxyethanol) with a neutral pH for the skin.
The advantages of the preparation include: quick local action, painless application (no burning effect), disinfection and disinfection of wounds and skin, neutralization of bacteria, fungi, yeasts, protozoa and viruses. Additionally, it is a colorless liquid that does not leave stains.
Octenisept is widely used in medicine, antiseptic, surgical and cosmetic procedures (e.g. piercings).
COMPOSITION
100 g of Octenisept contains: 0.1 g octenidine dihydrochloride, 2.0 g phenoxyethyl alcohol.
INDICATIONS
Octenisept is intended for short antiseptic procedures related to the wound, mucosa and the skin adjacent to it, before diagnostic and surgical procedures: in gynecology, urology, proctology, dermatology, geriatrics, venereology, obstetrics, before vaginal and non-vaginal examinations, during activities before, during and after childbirth.

DOSAGE
Internally. Octenisept is used undiluted. Washing of infected wounds, subcutaneous fistulas that do not penetrate into body cavities and rinsing of skin abscesses, subcutaneous tissue, perianal abscesses and infected hematomas using a syringe and cannula. Clean the inside of the wound with gauze pads and setons soaked in Octenisept. Disinfect skin parts, prepared wounds and mucous membranes with an atomizer or a sterile swab soaked in the preparation. Observe the required exposure time of at least 1 minute, it is advisable to extend the time to 5 minutes. The oral cavity should be rinsed intensively with 20 ml of Octenisept for 20 seconds. Octenisept can be used during pregnancy and lactation. It is not recommended to use Octenisept inside the ear, to rinse body cavities (pleura, peritoneum) and to avoid swallowing the preparation.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to octenidine dihydrochloride, phenoxyethyl alcohol or other ingredients of the preparation. Getting the drug into the bloodstream in larger amounts, e.g. as a result of accidental injection, should be avoided. Due to the fact that octenidine dihydrochloride in the drug is present in only 0.1%, the risk of this substance is extremely unlikely.
