  • MAGLEK B6 - 50 tablets - Prevention of magnesium and Vitamin B6 deficiency: - resulting from insufficient supply in the diet - related to using diuretics - in people using a diet rich in saturated fatty acids
  • Usage: adults and children over 12 years old: 1 to 2 tablets per day.
Ingredients:

Magnesium, Vitamin B6

Maglek is used to prevent deficiency of magnesium and vitamin B6 in people with insufficient supply of these ingredients in the diet or on a diet rich in saturated fatty acids, in patients with acute or chronic.

Composition:
1 tablet pow. contains 500 mg of magnesium lactate (51 mg of Mg) and 5 mg of pyridoxine hydrochloride.

Action:
Magnesium lactate is a compound easily absorbed by the body. Magnesium is the primary regulator of the cell cycle, incl. determines the correct concentration of potassium in the cell. It is an activator of many enzymes, including those transferring phosphoryl groups. It plays an important role in the process of muscle contraction (also of the heart muscle) and affects the neuromuscular excitability. Together with calcium and phosphorus, it participates in the formation of bone structure. It stimulates the body's defenses, is involved in the process of blood clotting, and also has a calming effect. The daily demand for magnesium is about 300 mg and increases with accelerated passage through the digestive tract, significant alcohol consumption, stressful situations, and excessive exercise. The symptoms of magnesium deficiency are hyperactivity, difficulty concentrating and falling asleep, increased susceptibility to stress, and muscle dysfunction. Magnesium deficiency increases the risk of arrhythmias, coronary artery disease and myocardial infarction. Vitamin B6 facilitates the use of magnesium, increasing its absorption from the gastrointestinal tract by about 40% and reducing excretion in urine. In addition, it participates with magnesium in the synthesis and transport of proteins and takes part in the transformation of amino acids, carbohydrates and lipids.

Indications:
Prevention of a deficiency of magnesium and vitamin B6 in people with insufficient intake of these nutrients in the diet or on a diet rich in saturated fatty acids, in patients with acute or chronic pancreatitis or hepatitis, in patients with chronic diarrhea or overuse of laxatives, in patients on diuretics (especially furosemide). Prophylaxis of certain heart diseases, especially arrhythmias, infarction, and coronary artery disease. Moreover, in disease states with increased muscle excitability and a tendency to tetanic attacks, after prolonged immobilization and during convalescence after bone fractures, in disorders of magnesium reabsorption in the renal tubules.

Dosage:
Orally, adults and children over 12 years of age in the prevention of magnesium and vitamin B6 deficiency: 1-2 tables daily (before or after a meal); in other indications, higher doses are administered.
